After attempting and failing to acquire a reservation on my last visit to Taipei in 2017, I was finally successful in making a reservation for March, and I was thrilled that we were able to attend. This is high-end food on par with the greatest in the world! As fate would have it, we happened to dine on a night when the featured ingredient was black truffle, and when the amuse bouche of beef yakitori, foie gras, and shaved black truffle arrived, I knew we were in for a fantastic night! Although pricey for Taiwan, it is not prohibitively expensive when compared to similar-quality restaurants in other parts of the globe. If you are able to obtain a reservation, go ahead and do it. However, I would not suggest the wine pairing since the quantities of wine were the smallest I have ever had, and despite the high quality of the wines, it did not represent excellent value for money.
