While there are other Japanese restaurants in town that are better in each of the items that we had at Kojima, it’s a good option for those looking for an all-you-can eat experience that isn’t based on buffets (like three of my favorites are) but on small serving portions that you can choose from a fairly extensive list of options. Nothing really sticks out – everything is generally satisfactory.
As the first visitors, we were treated really well, with service that was almost imperceptibly smooth on our part.
It’s a particular pet peeve of mine that there is no kind of tea included in the selection – you have to pay extra for it (in fact, I’m not sure they even provide hot tea – a man who seemed to be the chef-owner did remark “sorry, not yet” when I inquired).
