The legendary dining room of famous chef Guy Savoy may be found inside the magnificently renovated La Monnaie (the former Paris mint), which has been tastefully restored. The market-fresh menu includes some of the master’s classics, such as artichoke soup with black truffles, as well as some new dishes, such as oysters pot-au-feu and sweet, bitter, and spicy roasted duck paletot, that demonstrate the breadth of his culinary knowledge and skill. If the servers see that you are enjoying a meal, they will not hesitate to give you more servings. There are generous half portions on the menu, which allows you to nibble your way through it (unless you decide for a blowout feast with the €415 set menus for the 12-course option), and moderately priced wines are available (though beware the cost of wines by the glass).
