The Inn at Little Washington Reviews

It is the only resort in the Washington metro region that has received both a Double Forbes Five Star and a Double AAA Five Diamond rating. The Inn at Little Washington is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the little town of Washington, Virginia. Each of the Inn’s eighteen guestrooms and suites is a luxurious retreat designed by Joyce Evans, a London-based stage and set designer for whom The Inn has become a lifelong passion project. In order to create a big jigsaw puzzle effect on the site, many of the furniture were bought in England and delivered to Virginia where they were assembled on-site. Guests may choose from a variety of accommodations, ranging from well-appointed rooms to opulent, two-story suites, many of which include balconies and garden views. The dining rooms of the Inn are a wonderland of luxury, a magnificent cocoon of wonder. Rose-colored, silk lampshades float over each table, creating a secluded, romantic realm below the surface of the water. It seems as though Chef/Proprietor Patrick O’Connell’s masterpieces are being delivered by invisible hands, with each meal becoming more brilliant than the last. The Sommelier selects wines from the award-winning 14,000-bottle wine vault, which includes the greatest choices from Bordeaux, Burgundy, California, and Virginia. The Sommelier then orchestrates a match between you, your food, and the wine.
