The Clos des Sens, a discreet ancient mansion erected in 1866 with a view of Lake Annecy and the Bauge Mountains in the background, is a hidden gem. The table arrangement, which alternates between modern preciosity, a rustic touch, and real authenticity, engages in a constant conversation with the works of art, creating the perfect environment for Laurent Petit’s culinary masterpieces. The lakeside vegetarian food prepared by the chef, which is 100 percent seasonal and local, is a tribute to the three lakes of Savoy: the Léman, the Annecy, and the Bourget. Designs like the living fireplace, the lovely patio with ancient chestnut trees, and a pool bordered by an extraordinary herb garden encourage daydreaming and reflection. The robust nature of the vast rooms distinguishes them from the rest of the establishment.
